ProMinent has developed a sensing, monitoring, and control system specifically for hydrogen peroxide applications. The PEROX 20 system takes inputs from the unique H2O2 sensor, and pH, temperature, and ORP probes, all made by ProMinent. Its LED's display peroxide concentration (ppm), pH and temperature continuously on the face of the controller, and it offers analog outputs for recording these variables.
Saves time and money.
Beyond monitoring, PEROX 20 functions as a PID controller to adjust
the chemical feed rate using a ProMinent metering pump. The desired
concentration is simply programmed into the controller, and the
pump increases or decreases chemical feed to maintain that set
point. This ensures process control, and eliminates overfeeding
regardless of the presence of other oxidants or variations in
peroxide demand.
The two available concentration ranges are 5 to 100 ppm, and
50 to 1,000 ppm, while higher and lower range units are currently
under design.
System Applications:
Systems have been field tested under actual operation conditions, and commercial installations include the Gateway Center Project (see Ground-Water Article).
ProMinent also manufactures proportional and PID style pH control
systems to optimize peroxide reactions. They will do on-site trials
of the PEROX 20 for new applications to ensure process compatibility.
